Check out #CookBlogShare Week #17 and our theme from last week's link party: 4 Asian-Inspired Dishes.
Welcome to #CookBlogShare Week #17!
I'm so happy to have you all here at Flipped-Out Food for #CookBlogShare, the weekly link party where food bloggers link up their delicious creations, share and comment on each other’s recipes, and enjoy an infusion of gustatorial inspiration. If you have a recipe you'd like to show off, you've come to the right place!
I am thrilled to guest host the #CookBlogShare linky this week. The regular co-hosts are: Eb@Easy Peasy Foodie, Monika@Everyday Healthy Recipes, and Jacqui@Recipes Made Easy. #CookBlogShare will be hosted next week by Eb at Easy Peasy Foodie—be sure to pop over and share your delicious recipes on her blog!
If you are newcomer to this link party, please take a moment to look over the guidelines below. Joining is easy: you are welcome to share your old and new recipes. We have no specific theme for the recipes you submit for week #17, so any recipe is welcome. The next #CookBlogShare host (Eb at Easy Peasy Foodie) will decide upon a theme for week #18 based on which recipes grab her attention this week!
#CookBlogShare Week #17 and 4 Asian-Inspired Dishes
Currently at Flipped-Out Food...
Wisconsin has only just become convinced that it is Spring. We had an ice storm just over a week ago. Today, it's 80º F. Whiplash, much?! All kidding aside, I'm really happy about the warmer weather. I'm excited to start my garden, but I now wait until Memorial Day weekend to do it. The inevitable mid-Spring hard freezes are THE WORST.
This week's #CookBlogShare theme: 4 Asian-inspired dishes
Last week's #CookBlogShare, hosted by Michelle and Lesley of Lost in Food, had a very diverse selection of recipes to choose from, so I was hard-pressed to decide upon a theme. I did manage to settle upon four recipes that shared a common theme. And so, I give you 4 Asian-inspired dishes!
First up are these craveable, chewy-gooey Filipino Cheese Bread Rolls from Jhuls at Filipino Cheese Bread Rolls. Juhls uses fresh yeast to give her cheddar-filled, sweet rolls an amazing texture:
Next is All-Purpose Sambal Dipping Sauce by Balvinder at Simple Gluten Free Kitchen. This sauce reminds me of the "Yum Yum Sauce" served at Japanese hibachi restaurants here in the US. But Balvinder's version is sure to have a ton more flavor: rather than the timid paprika in most Yum Yum recipes, Balvinder uses sambal (or sriracha). Plus, the sauce gets a wonderful tang from Greek yogurt:
Next, Clare over at Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezy helps us step away from that takeout menu to make her delicious Udon Noodles, Beef & Shiitake Mushrooms. Rump steak pairs perfectly with shiitake mushrooms in a light, flavorful sauce accented by ginger and scallions:
Finally, I'm capping off my 4 Asian-inspired dishes roundup with my own Soy-Miso Marinated Ramen Eggs, posted just last week. You haven't truly eaten ramen soup until you've floated one of these delicious, salty umami bombs in the broth!
I hope you've enjoyed my 4 Asian-Inspired Dishes roundup, and I do hope you'll stay to share your wonderful recipes and to explore these recipes and the delicious recipes linked below.
Thank you for stopping by and sharing your awesome recipes with #CookBlogShare! I can't wait to see what you've been cooking up.

Such a delicious round-up Michelle with your Asian inspired theme! I love the sound of your eggs! I must admit I have only eaten ramen soup once when out and really enjoyed it but for some reason never tried recreating it at home. I must correct that mistake soon and your delicious egg recipe will definitely come very handy! Have a great weekend! 🙂

Thank you, Jo! Oh, yes—you definitely need to try homemade ramen! You'll have to let me know how it turns out. Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!

Hooray! I am pleased to hear that there are finally some signs of spring in Wisconsin - I really was beginning to worry it was going to be always winter!! Did Aslan finally show up? 😉 Lovely roundup. I especially like the look of Clare's noodle dish. I really need to branch out and be more adventurous with noodles - I always stick to my same old, same old tried and tested noodle recipes! Eb x

Thank you, Eb! Yes, Aslan finally showed up and chased the White Witch away—thank goodness! I agree about Clare's noodles: I definitely need to add those to my usual routine!
